Samurai Fighting Championships debut show:
The highly successful Cage Warriors academy show has undergone a complete overhaul, now being rebranded to Samurai Fighting Championships. The announcement sparked many questions about the shows future. We have since found out that the promotion will now showcase a mixture of amateur and professional bouts. With a rumoured 25 fights already confirmed for the October 14th show, fans are in for a treat. Not only this, but UFC legend Dan Hardy is also set to be in attendance, potentially scouting for more prospects after also attending the four nations tournament back in July.
Stephanie Page Evans:
After a storied amateur career, boasting a record of 7 wins and 2 losses, Evans progressed into the pro ranks. She made her debut against former opponent Jasmine Favero in August 2022. She lost this fight and vowed to come back better. A few months later, Evans announced a year sabbatical to focus on her fight career. With some fights falling through, she finally made her return at Cage Warriors 156. Here, her hard work and determination was displayed in spectacular fashion. She made quick work of her opponent, confidently initiating wrestling exchanges, and taking the back. It was here where Evans showed her composure and patience, sinking in a rear naked choke at the end of the first round- finishing the fight.
Stephanie Page Evans Main Event:
Coming off an impressive victory, Evans will now headline the first instalment of Samurai Fighting Championships. She will face former PFL fighter Ruby Mesu. This bout has very high stakes on the line. Whoever emerges victorious will earn themselves a PFL contract presented by none other than Dan Hardy himself. With both featherweights looking to snatch this deal, this fight is not one to miss!
