Steve Langford is back in quick succession after his GTFP 20 (Golden Ticket Fight Promotion) victory. Steve will meet Martt Clempna in the co-main event slot, with a light heavyweight belt on the line.
Langford has fought twice already this year, with both bouts under the GFTP banner. Before his back-to-back fights, he had not fought under the MMA umbrella for 12 years. Steve’s long-awaited return saw him pick up two first-round knockout victories. Moving his record to 2-1. Steve’s quick return doesn’t come as a surprise, as he stated in an interview with Lewis Simpson of Combat Sports UK, “I’m hoping to get back out there in December. I plan on finishing the year 3-1, so I can go into 2023 with some interesting conversations with some bigger promotions. Ultimately, I want some memorable experiences, and it’s a dream of mine to get abroad. So we shall see.“
Steve has definitely spoken his words to fruition. With a win in December, he would move to 3-1, hold a belt, and certainly have eyes on him from other organizations.
Matt Clempna
Standing across the cage from Langford will be another top finisher in Matt Clempna. Matt has a record of 3-2 and 2-0 as an amateur. In all bouts in which Matt has won, he has finished the fight via submission. All of them also, in the first round of the fight. Although now on a two-fight-losing skid, Clempna has shown from his record along that he can finish the fight early and in devasting fashion.
Where and When?
Golden Ticket Fight Promotions 21 card will take place on December 3rd, 2022. Action will take place from KK Steel Mill in Wolverhampton. The card will also feature the return of Thomas Paull, who was recently seen on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Is this a true grappler vs striker display? Or will we see something new from either fighter? Either way, December 3rd will be a card not to miss.
