Highlights
What’s Next?
Next for Stevie will be a new challenge for the Scot. Across the cage from him in the final will be Canada’s Olivier Aubin-Mercier. Olivier won earlier in the night defeating Ray’s former opponent Alex Martinez. It was a dominant performance that saw him earn the decision. With all three judges scoring it to the Canadian Gangster.
This could arguably be Stevie’s toughest test to date. Both are former UFC alumni. Auban-Mercier has been undefeated since leaving the promotion.
Joining PFL last year, he has gone 5-0 in the organisation. Full of talent and providing both a grappling and stand-up threat, the Lightweight final will be a banger.
The Final
Stevie Ray enters the final off the back of a pair of wins over former UFC champion Anthony Pettis. Looking to continue his fine form, he will need to be at his best to earn 2022 PFL gold.
The championship matches will come at PFL 10. Taking place on November 25th later this year. This gives Stevie over three months to prepare.
