Tatsuro Taira continues to impress. At only 22-years old he remains undefeated defeating C.J Vergara with an armbar in round two at UFC Vegas 62.
Starting the fight extremely well, he takes his opponent down with ease and begins to work. Looking for every opportunity to secure a submission, C.J defends well. Still patient in his approach he manages to maintain solid control for the majority of the round.
Besides a brief scare at the end of the round, it was a near-flawless display from Tatsuro.
Entering the second it was much the same for Tatsuro Taira who dominated from the first second. Controlling his opponent’s back for the majority of the round, he looked to be extremely close to a rear naked choke.
Once again Vergara’s defence held strong, but not for long. As C.J turned, Taira transitioned into a beautiful armbar. Leaving his opponent no choice but to tap.
Another submission on his record at only 22, Tatsuro Taira is a problem. Showing his striking pedigree as well his grappling, the only way is up.
