Theo Von’s Advice for Conor McGregor Regarding Jake and Logan Paul’s Mother
McGregor shared a ride to Donald Trump’s Inauguration alongside Jake Paul, Logan Paul, the brothers’ mom, and comedian/podcaster Theo Von on Monday. The superstar MMA fighter has reportedly been in talks to face Logan Paul in an upcoming boxing match.
Those rumors are unconfirmed, but McGregor and the Paul brothers appear to be on good terms. McGregor even shared a seat next to the boxers’ mom on the way to the event.
A Word of Caution from Theo Von to McGregor
The pair was looking a bit cozy, and it caught the eye of comedian Theo Von, who couldn’t resist a good-natured jab at McGregor’s expense.
“Keep your hands off Pam!”, Von yelled, drawing raucous laughter from all involved.
Von’s joke carries significant subtext in light of McGregor’s recent legal troubles. He was found guilty in November in a civil lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault.
A Tumultuous Season
The accusation stemmed from an incident in 2018. Nikita Hand alleges that the fighter raped her in a hotel room following a Christmas party. A jury upheld the accusation in civil court, finding McGregor guilty of the heinous crime. However, since it was a civil case and not a criminal one, McGregor didn’t face any jail time. Although he remains a free man, he has still seen heavy repercussions following the verdict. He was required to pay €248,000 in damages to Ms. Hand. Proper Number 12 Irish Whiskey cut all ties, ending a lucrative years-long partnership. Additionally, fans have extensively trashed him in the court of public opinion.
Levity in the Darkness
Despite all the recent damage to the former champion’s image, he seemed in fine spirits on Monday. Even in the face of extreme backlash, he maintains his trademark sense of humor. Hopefully he continues to press forward, and we can see him return to combat soon, whether boxing against Logan Paul or back in the UFC octagon for a fight with Michael Chandler years in the making.
