Turki Alalshikh claims that no one can be deleted from the boxing world despite wanting to crush the boxing scene.
He has recently created the TKO boxing league alongside Dana White and said he wanted to crush other promoters.
This claim sent shockwaves across the boxing world with many promoters being put on notice and seemingly unknowing to the moves of Turki Alalshikh.
Eddie Hearn was the first of the competing promoters to comment on the new “Boxing League”.
He claimed it was good for boxing and even without the input of Turki Alalshikh he would still put on great boxing shows.
The WBC also hit back with a set of WBC champions coming out to show loyalty to the WBC through social media posts.
Turki then added fuel to the fire when promoting Canelo Alvarez Vs Christian Mbilli, His Excellency seemingly refused the WBC belt when it came to the face to face.
Turki Alalshikh Takes A U-Turn-
Despite all the news and controversy this has caused, Turki Alalshikh has potentially called off his attack on the boxing world.
The leader of Riyadh Season In boxing has recently gone on to X hosting a live explaining the new TKO boxing league.
His live saw some interesting quotes including him claiming boxing is too big and no one can be deleted.
“THE BOXING] MARKET IS HUGE AND NO ONE CAN DELETE ANYONE FROM THIS MARKET”
Turki Alalshikh has made it clear he hasn’t got any intentions to remove promoters, governing bodies or commissions.
“THIS TKO BOXING PROJECT IS NOT AGAINST ANYONE. NOT AGAINST THE COMMISSION. NOT AGAINST THE PROMOTERS”
He even has said that the four belts will still exist in the future.
“WE WILL STILL SEE THE FOUR BELTS, AND THE COMMISSION AND THE PROMOTERS.”
This will surely be music to the ears of promoters, governing bodies and even the boxers.
Seeing that His Excellency will still interact with other promoters and commissions will also be great to hear for fans.
Turki Alalshikh has brought the sport back together and looks to continue this trend not ruin it.
