The heavyweight king, Tyson Fury, has been backed to beat Jake and Logan Paul at the same time in either a boxing or MMA exhibition fight.
An Exhibition Bout Next?
“The Gypsy King” defended his titles last weekend by knocking out Dillian White in front of a sold-out Wembley Stadium. The still undefeated champion stated he had no intention of fighting again. He has also expressed his plans to compete in exhibition fights despite this.
In recent months, one fight that has been teased has been UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. On Saturday night, the Cameroonian appeared in the ring to tease a ‘hybrid-rules’ fight with Fury. Two other opponents teased are none other than the Paul brothers.
Tyson Fury vs. The Paul Brothers?
Both Logan and Jake have called out Fury in the past, with Jake scheduled to fight his brother Tommy last December. After that fight fell through, UFC fighter Josh Thomson suggested that the 6’9″ heavyweight would easily be able to take on both brothers simultaneously.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Weighing In podcast, he proposed a two-on-one fight.
“Maybe the Jake Paul fight. I’d love to see that fight,” Thomson said for who Fury should fight. “Maybe him and Logan Paul together, you know you see the Russian fights, [where they’ve got three guys]. Jake Paul, Logan Paul against Tyson Fury. I don’t know, Logan’s got wrestling. I think Tyson can beat them both together, in MMA also.”
Logan has suggested in the past that he would be open to taking on “The Gypsy King” in an MMA bout. Thomson admitted that whilst he would like the idea of Fury fighting both of the Paul brothers, there are still fights to make for him in the heavyweight division.
“There’s fights to be made for him though. There’s still Oleksandr Usyk, there’s still Anthony Joshua. I don’t know if [Joshua] gets out of the sixth or seventh round though,” he said.
The possibilities for what’s next for Fury are endless. Would you be interested in seeing Fury v the Paul brothers? Let us know!
