Tyson Fury will take on Derek Chisora this weekend at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The pair are set to meet for the third time. Both men first fought in 2011, with Fury winning via decision.
In the rematch, Fury won again, with Chisora retiring in the 10th round.
Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora Preview
Eyebrows have been raised following the announcement of the fight. With Fury dominating the first two fights, there was no need for a trilogy showdown.
‘The Gypsy King’ has set his sights on Oleksandr Usyk and is looking to stay active for the potential 2023 showdown.
As for Chisora, ‘War’ will be looking to shock the world this weekend.
Coming into the trilogy showdown with Chisora, Fury will be itching to keep his unbeaten record intact.
‘The Gypsy King’ is coming off of a TKO victory over Dillian Whyte back in April.
As for Chisora, ‘War’ ended a three-fight losing streak in his last outing by defeating Kubrat Pulev via split decision.
Looking to successfully defend his WBC heavyweight title, Fury is a heavy favourite going into this weekend’s clash.
As for Derek, he will be looking to give it his all and seek a big payday.
Over the years, Fury has turned himself into a knockout artist thanks to the help of SugarHill Steward.
In the previous encounters, there was not a single moment where Chisora looked dominant and in control. This time around could be even more one-sided.
It is fair to say that Tyson has come leaps and bounds since the rematch.
Combat Sports UK’s Prediction
It will be hard to pinpoint what both men’s gameplan will be from the off.
Expect Fury to look to control proceedings early on with his sharp jab. Fury’s goal will be to look to utilise his significant height and reach.
Fury will spend the first few rounds using his reach to his advantage and chip away at Chisora.
Chisora will struggle to really find his way in the fight, with Fury expecting to be the dictator throughout the encounter.
Once Fury has Chisora’s number towards the midway point, expect ‘The Gypsy King’ to pile the pressure on a tiring Chisora.
With that being said, Chisora’s nickname is ‘war.’ So, expect him to give it his all until it’s physically impossible.
Unfortunately, the best version of Chisora is nowhere good enough to beat Fury.
Towards the midway point, heading into the later rounds, Fury will sense that Derek is tiring and then start to land heavy combinations and knock Derek out.
Prediction: Tyson Fury via seventh-round TKO
