Tyson Fury has revealed that he is willing to come out of retirement and fight Anthony Joshua, providing two conditions are met.
‘The Gypsy King’ is coming off of a win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium back in April.
Immediately after the fight with Whyte, Fury announced his retirement from the sport of boxing.
Over the last few years, both Fury and Joshua have been going back and forth on social media.
Should the pair fight, it would arguably go down as the biggest fight in the history of British boxing.
The pair came close to fighting last year. However, Deontay Wilder intervened and forced Fury by pushing the trilogy fight to court.
Tyson Fury Is Willing to Come Out of Retirement to Face Rival Anthony Joshua
Now that Fury is retired, there may be few that believe he will never come back. However, stranger things have happened.
In a recent appearance over the weekend, Fury made it clear that he would be down to fighting Joshua.
With that being said, Fury explained that a few conditions must be met.
The footage was uploaded to social media by Michael Benson via @motleysfool.
Fury said: “Mr Business Man – he’s not a fighting man. I swear to god I hope he wins the fight against Usyk, so I can come out of retirement, and fight him for free.
“However, the terms are this. I want it at Wembley Stadium, I want it free to enter, and I want it free to air television in this country [UK]. You heard it here first, and this is gonna be in every newspaper tomorrow, and you heard it here first. I’ll fight him for free in England, not abroad in a foreign country for more money, here for free for the people.”
Joshua is due to take on Oleksandr Usyk next month in Saudi Arabia.
The Englishman lost the first encounter to the Ukrainian via unanimous decision back in September of last year at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
For most boxing fans, a showdown between Fury and Joshua will be seen as a ‘dream matchup.’
Therefore, if Joshua gets through Usyk, it only adds more anticipation for a potential fight between Fury and Joshua.
