Heavyweight king Tyson Fury sent well-wishes to fellow heavyweight and friend Tom Aspinall ahead of his main event headliner at UFC London.
Casual followers of the sport may not know, but the heavyweights both trained together for a long period of time, despite fighting under different sports. Tom Aspinall has often told stories about his bond with the Fury family in the past. The twenty-eight-year-old was one of the individuals who helped Fury with his struggles outside of the ropes.
Tom Aspinall will headline this Saturday’s prestigious UFC event for the first time in his career. Not to mention, UFC London will mark the first time Aspinall has fought in front of a crowd under the organisation.
Tyson Fury Sends Supportive Message to Tom Aspinall
“I just want to wish my buddy Tom Aspinall all the best in his upcoming UFC heavyweight fight. Good luck Tom, do the business. Smash his face in! Get up there, my boy, all the way to the motherf**king bank, man.” (H/T Sportskeeda)
Aspinall continued to make a name for himself on the biggest stage of MMA. Many touting the Englishmen to become the next British UFC champion. The Team Kaobon representative has finished all four of his UFC outings, with wins over Jake Collier, Alan Baudot, Andrei Arlovski, and Sergey Spivak.
However, none of those challenges have had the skill-set of Russian heavyweight Alexander Volkov, who has 43-professional fights under his belt. The experienced veteran is coming off a unanimous decision win over Poland’s Marcin Tybura at UFC 267.
Can Tom Aspinall put on a show in front of his own people at UFC London?
