UFC 289 takes place in Vancouver, Canada this weekend as bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes headlines the card as she takes on Irene Aldana. Here’s your UFC 289 start time, fight card, and where to watch.
This will be Amanda Nunes’ return to action for the first time since her revenge against Julianna Peña last July. Since becoming a mother, Nunes has become accustomed to these more considerable absences away from the octagon and this will be the return from an 11-month absence.
Irene Aldana earned her shot in September after a spectacular knockout of Macy Chiasson with an up-kick to the liver. The UFC was left without an opponent for the Women’s Pound-for-Pound number one after Peña injured her rib just over a month ago, and Aldana got the call, partially to do with the need for fresh blood for the champ.
The card will be live on BT Sport for UK viewers at 1 am. In the US the five-fight main card will be a Pay-Per-View available through ESPN+ for $79.99, and the prelims will be shown on ESPN and streamed free on ESPN+ for subscribers.
