Just one week into 2025, the UFC adds two former champions to an already loaded Fight Night in Seattle.
The event will feature the return of Henry ‘Triple C’ Cejudo, the former Olympic gold medallist and flyweight and bantamweight champion, alongside the comeback of the fighter he defeated to claim the 135lb title.
UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs. Song Set for February 22 in Seattle
UFC Fight Night: Seattle is set to take place on Saturday, February 22, and barring any last-minute cancellations, it’s shaping up to be one of the best non-PPV cards of the year.
Earlier today, UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell confirmed to ESPN that Henry Cejudo and Dominick Cruz have been added to the event as the headliners, taking the main and co-main event slots respectively.
Cejudo, the former Olympic gold medalist and two-division champion, will face number 8-ranked bantamweight contender Song Yadong. Meanwhile, Cruz, a former bantamweight champion, returns to action against Number 9 ranked veteran Rob Font.,
Cejudo enters this bout after consecutive losses to Aljamain Sterling and Merab Dvalishvili. Inspired by advice from Khabib Nurmagomedov, he is aiming to reignite his career in pursuit of a third UFC title. On the other hand, Song Yadong, still only 27, looks to rebound after a unanimous decision loss to Petr Yan in 2024, hoping to reestablish himself in the title conversation.
Dominick Cruz, now 39, hasn’t competed since a fourth-round KO loss to Marlon Vera in August 2022. His opponent, Rob Font, recently bounced back with a unanimous decision win over Kyler Phillips after suffering back-to-back losses.
The rest of the UFC Fight Night: Seattle card promises action-packed matchups, featuring prominent names like Edson Barboza, Brendan Allen, Anthony Hernandez and Curtis Blaydes.

UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs Song is scheduled to take place at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, on February 22nd. The fight order is still yet to be officially finalised.
