Petr Yan takes on Merab Dvalishvili this weekend in Las Vegas for UFC Fight Night: Yan vs. Dvalishvili. Yan, 16-4, is coming into the event on a two fight loss streak, to Sean O’Malley and Aljamain Sterling respectively. Both split decisions, they were close fights who many believe he could have come out on top of.
Merab Dvalishvili is an upcoming contender on an 8 fight streak with a recent win over UFC Hall of Famer Jose Aldo. Merab goes into the fight this weekend with the full intention of solidifying himself as a legitimate title contender. A win over Yan would certainly do this; Merab will be looking to capitalise on the big opportunity this weekend.
On top of this, top ranked heavyweights Alexander Volkov and Alexander Romanov battle it out for title contention in the co-main event.
