The third fight on the UFC 287 main card featured a bantamweight banger between Rob Font and Adrian Yanez.
Rob Font (19-6 MMA) has been one of the most entertaining fighters in the Bantamweight division in his UFC tenure, going 9-5 and putting together 4 wins before his most recent 2 losses against the elite of the division in Chito Vera and Jose Aldo. A dynamic striker with a well rounded game, Font has shown his skills as both a knockout artist and tactician, being able to go the distance and finish his opponents before the final bell. Font hopes to put a halt to the surging prospect in Yanez and put himself back into the title picture.
Adrian Yanez (16-3 MMA) is currently one of the UFC’s hottest prospects. Undefeated in the promotion and with never being finished across his career, the Texas native has some of the crispest boxing in the UFC. Finishing 7 out of his 9 opponents via KO/TKO, Yanez is a bona fide fight stopper and looks to crack the iron chin of Rob Font who himself has never been stopped due to strikes. Yanez is knocking on the door for the bantamweight belt, and with a win over Rob Font tonight, he could see himself in a title eliminator in the near future.
