Tickets for UFC London were released this week. But, the usual anticipation for the event hasn’t been met, with prices falling flat.
Tom Aspinall returns to face Marcin Tybura when the UFC returns to the O2 Arena in July. An occasion like this has been hotly anticipated in recent years but this event has seemingly failed to deliver on paper. With little blockbuster names and expensive prices, tickets after three days of releases are still available.
Currently, there are 13 bouts confirmed for the card. However, this only includes six ranked fighters and much less star power in comparison to recent years. Since the pandemic, the O2 Arena has seen big British names such as Leon Edwards, Arnold Allen, Paddy Pimblett, and Muhammad Mokaev all compete at the event. But, this summer’s card sees none of the mentioned names feature.
Since the UFC allowed fans back to events, there have been three cards held in the UK, including one pay-per-view. All of these have seen tickets snapped up by fans and touts at an immediate rate. Ticketmaster and AXS release tickets across three days, with each day usually invoking competition among fans to get tickets as soon as possible. This often leads to them selling out within minutes of release.
However, it has been different this time around. Before fees, the lowest price you can attend Aspinall vs Tybura comes in at £120, a staggering £65 increase on the prices for Aspinall vs Volkov back in March 2022. This has come at a price for the UFC, at the time of writing there are still multiple tickets available across various sections of the O2 Arena.
Fan Reaction to UFC London Tickets
There has been outrage on social media among fights fans. Many have claimed that tickets are simply too expensive for the card on offer.
