UFC Nashville takes place tomorrow on Saturday, August 5th at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The card is headlined by a featured bout between two of the UFC’s best bantamweights, no. 4 Cory Sandhagen and no. 7 Rob Font.
Stepping in on short notice for the injured Umar Nurmagomedov, Rob Font himself was scheduled to fight Song Yadong at UFC 292 in Boston. Around the same time Nurmagomedov was injured, Yadong was as well which led Font to take this main event slot two weeks earlier. Due to the fight being earlier than anticipated for Font, he asked for a 5-pound allowance in weight which was accepted. This led to the fight being scheduled at a catchweight of 140 pounds instead of their natural weight class.
A calm weigh-in following the controversy at last week’s UFC 291 weigh-ins had just one weight miss throughout the card. Short-notice Dennis Buzujka out of the Serra-Longo camp stepped up on just 4 days’ notice to take on Sean Woodson. Buzujka weighed in just half a pound over the 146-pound limit and was denied his extra hour by the Tennesse Athletic Commission. Woodson accepted the fine and the fight will continue as scheduled.
The card also features a marquee fight in the women’s strawweight division. Tatiana Suarez puts her unbeaten record on the line while looking to climb back to the top of the division against former champion Jessica Andrade.

Not much drama when it came to weigh-ins, as the only weight miss is an understandable and minor one. The card takes place on ESPN and ESPN+ with the prelims starting at 6 pm ET and the main card at 9 pm ET.
