Darren Till claims that Conor McGregor’s MMA is ‘probably’ coming to an end whilst Mcgregor eludes to his eventual comeback fight and claims of winning a third UFC title.
Since McGregor’s career peak in 2016-2017, getting wins over Eddie Alvarez and Nate Diaz and having a $100 million boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, Mcgregor has only had one win on his MMA record. In January 2020, Mcgregor returned from a 2-year hiatus to fight Donald’ cowboy’ Cerrone at welterweight, seemingly sparking a new beginning for his career. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Mcgregor didn’t get to fight for another year against Dustin Poirier in Jan 2021.
McGregor is also still seemingly recovering from a snapped Fibula and Tibia injury he sustained at the end of his 3rd fight with Poirier in July 2021. Since then, McGregor has been on the road filming movies with Jake Gyllenhaal and magically put on over 40 lbs of lean muscle mass. Mcgregor’s increase in size raises some questions about where his return fight will take place in the UFC, as he’s now nowhere near 155lbs.
McGregor said this in an interview last march: “No one’s ever obtained three knockouts in three weight divisions moving up like I have already, but no one’s ever obtained three UFC world titles cross three divisions like I will do also.”

At the title of that interview, Kamaru Usman was still the reigning champion of the welterweight division, now ruled by England’s own Leon Edwards. Usman vs Edwards 3 has recently been announced for UFC 286 in London.
Mcgregor is expecting to fight the winner of that trilogy fight which would be a massive pay day for either Usman or Edwards but Darren Till says otherwise…
So What Does Darren Till Have to Say?
Till told Basketball Insiders: “I think Conor has been there and done it, made his money and now he’s happy.
“I’m sure he probably wants to come back but deep down he knows life’s different now. I think it’s probably the end for Conor but he’s still the biggest name in the sport.”

Till suffered a heartbreaking defeat back in December against Dricus Du Plessis via RNC in the 3rd round. Leaving Till now on three-fight losing streak and only won 1 out of his last five fights. Since the Whittaker fights, Till has been continuously suffering from injuries. Ranging from ACL tears to broken collar bones, all leading to pulling out of a fight or not performing at his best, resulting in a loss.
After Till’s lose in December he has come out and said he is not injured and needs to work on the mental side of the sport meaning that he probably won’t be fighting on UFC 286 card.
