Alexa Grasso and Viviane Araujo headline tomorrow’s UFC Vegas 62 card, and the pairing were the first to hit the scales.
Both women have a monumental opportunity tomorrow at the UFC Apex, taking the main event slot. Grasso hit the scales at 125.5lbs, while Araujo hit the 126lbs limit.
Fan favourite Cub Swanson made championship weight in his drop down to the bantamweight division, hitting 135lbs. Swanson matches up with Jonathan Martinez in the co-main event, who hit 135.5lbs.
Every fighter on the card professionally made weight except CJ Vergara, who missed by a considerable margin at 129lbs. Three pounds over the flyweight limit. CJ Vergara’s opponent, Tatsuro Taira, hit the scale at 126lbs. The UFC officially confirmed the fight would remain on the card, with Vergara giving up 30% of his purse.
Ahead of fight night, the UFC lost one fight with Askar Askarov and Brandon Royval being scrapped due to a weight issue with Askarov.
