The UFC is back at the Apex this weekend as heavy hitters Derrick Lewis and Serghei Spivac throw down in this Fight Night main event.
As well as this clash of giants, there are some top fights taking place in Nevada.
Derrick Lewis vs Serghei Spivac
‘The Black Beast’ Derrick Lewis has become one of the most iconic fighters in the UFC. The heavyweight has the most knockouts inside the promotion and is easily up there with the funniest, most genuine fighters to get on the microphone. Lewis has some of the most memorable fights with some of the biggest names at heavyweight. However, he certainly needs a win this weekend. Currently 2-3 in his last five bouts, Lewis will not want to drop any further down the rankings. Coming off a very quick stoppage loss over Russian Sergei Pavlovic in July, the knockout artist has not had the best luck in recent fights. Anybody who knows Derrick Lewis, however, knows that you can never count ‘The Black Beast’ out. Whether he is loving every minute of the bout or steamrolling his way to victory, anything can happen in a Derrick Lewis fight.
At 27, Serghei Spivac has fought some of the top fighters at heavyweight. The Ukrainian-born athlete currently sits at number 12 in the heavyweight division and will be looking to take Lewis’ number seven spot. This is a big challenge for Spivac, and he will be looking to get another knockout in the UFC. Currently on a two-fight winning streak, a chance to break into the top 10 is a huge opportunity for the fighter. As well as a chance at a top 10 rank, this will be Spivac’s main event in the UFC against an opponent who always brings it.
You are only a good shot or two away from the top of the heavyweight division. Both fighters will be aware of this going into this clash of the titans.

Honourable Mentions
Not only is this card headlined by two huge knockout artists, but it also boasts some serious talent in the main event and prelims.
Two terrifying light heavyweights take the co-main event spot this weekend. The Moldovan Cutelaba is yet to win in 2022 and will be desperate to get in the win column. His opponent Nzechukwu got his first win of the year in July against Karl Roberson. Both will be hoping to break into the top 15 with a win this weekend and with desperation comes fights of the night.

Jack Della Maddalena vs Danny Roberts
Jack Della Maddalena is one of Australia’s biggest up-and-coming talents. Unbeaten in the UFC, the contender series alum is set to face his hardest challenge yet in Englishman Dan Roberts. Roberts has faced some serious talent at welterweight. A chance to get a win over an up-and-comer such as Della Maddalena.

Ricky Turcios vs Kevin Natividad
Ultimate fighter season 29 winner Ricky Turcios has serious potential in the 135lb division. Following a loss to Aimann Zahabi, the TUF winner looks to get back to winning ways since beating fellow fighter on the card, Brady Hiestand, for the season 29 championship. A chance to beat a TUF winner should be enough motivation for Kevin Natividad. The former LFA fighter is also seeking his first win in the UFC under the lights of the Apex this weekend, adding to the tension.
