The UFC returns to The Apex for UFC Vegas 78 with a main event in the welterweight division between Vincente Luque and Rafael Dos Anjos.
UFC Vegas 78 Main Event
Luque is back in action for the first time in over a year after he suffered a brain haemorrhage following his knockout defeat to Geoff Neal back in August last year. Dos Anjos on the other hand is coming into the bout off the back of a win against Bryan Barberena in December of last year.
Main Card
Veteran Cub Swanson features in the co-main event as he squares off against Hakeem Dawodu. Swanson hasn’t fought since October last year where he suffered a TKO defeat to Jonathan Martinez. Dawodu has also been out of the octagon since Septemeber last year where he suffered a unanimous decision defeat to Julian Erosa after missing weight by 3.5lb’s.
Also on the card Khalil Rountree Jr looks to continue his winning streak against the struggling Chris Daukaus. Rountree is on a three fight winning run beating Dustin Jacoby in his last outing. Daukaus debuts at 205lb following three stoppage defeats in a row up at heavyweight against Derrick Lewis, Curtis Blaydes and Jairzinho Rozenstruik.
The rest of the main card features Polyana Viana Vs Iasmin Lucindo, AJ Dobson Vs Tafon Nchukwi and Josh Fremd Vs Jamie Pickett.
Prelim Card
The prelim card is headed up by JP Buys Vs Marcus McGhee. Further down the prelims, Terrance McKinney takes a late notice fight against Mike Breeden, Francis Marshall squares off against Isaac Dulgarian, Josh Parisian takes on Martin Buday and Jaqueline Amorim faces off against Montserrat Conejo. Da’Mon Blackshear Vs Jose Johnson & Julianna Miller Vs Luana Santos get the prelims up and running.
