UFC Vegas 92 (also known as UFC FN 241) is the last event before the highly-anticipated UFC 302 PPV. The main event sees veteran Edson Barboza taking on rising up-and-comer Lerone Murphy in a fun clash of styles at 145 pounds.
Barboza comes into this fight looking rejuvenated as of late, with big wins in his last two. At 38 years old, this fight marks Barboza’s 30th walk to the cage while he looks to make one last run towards the top of the featherweight division. On the other side, Lerone Murphy makes just his 7th walk to the Octagon tonight. After a draw in his UFC debut, Murphy has won five straight with his last win coming over Josh Culibao last July. Murphy’s UFC run has been plagued by injury, with as many cancellations as times fought in the UFC up to this point. This fight against Barboza will show how Murphy can hang with the top 15 at featherweight and is by far the biggest test he’s faced in his entire career.
The card also features exciting fan-favorite finishers such as Khaos Williams, Themba Gorimbo, and Adrian Yanez. Only two UFC newcomers will make their debuts on this card, with Oumar Sy and Tuco Tokkos looking for a big debut win when they face off on the prelims.
