Paddy Pimblett has slammed Ariel Helwani on the latest episode of his ‘Chattin’ Pony‘ Podcast:

Speaking with Dana White as part of the UFC 282 preview podcast, the duo chatted about a variety of topics before Helwani came up. It’s well known that Dana White and Helwani do not see eye to eye. However, on this occasion, it was Paddy who launched into a stinging rebuke. The conversation began when the subject of fighter pay came up. Helwani has a well-publicised stance on UFC fighter pay, specifically that Dana does not pay them enough. However, Paddy does not agree:
“That’s what does my head in when idiots talk about fighter pay. We get paid what you’re worth. I hate all these journalists, especially the ones who earn off us. Ariel Helwani, in particular, he loves earning money off fighters… now he’s just a biased content creator. He hates on you (Dana White), he hates on the UFC, he even hates on me now, and it proper annoys me… He uses fighters for clicks, uses fighters to make money, and then tries to have audacity to talk about the UFC and yourself, saying they don’t pay the fighters enough.“
Paddy’s issues with Ariel stem from his unwillingness to pay guests to appear on his show. Going on to say:
Get your dough out Ariel… start paying people for these interviews what you make thousands and thousands and thousands of pounds off. I know that now because I make money off YouTube so I know how much he earns off YouTube off all his interviews… you’re doing it for exposure, no you’re not, you’re doing it to put money in your pocket you little rodent.”
Ariel is expected to address the comments today on the MMA Hour:
During the show, Dana White confirmed that the UFC will return in London in March 2023! Time to get excited UK MMA fans!
