Social media was in a frenzy when Merab Dvalishvili confirmed that he will be next to fight O’Malley inside the Vegas Sphere.
The fight is an interesting matchup. Both men have grown inside the Octagon and are the top echelon of what a UFC bantamweight should be.
For the time being, fight fans will unfortunately need to hold their horses on being excited. The current UFC bantamweight champ Sean O’Malley used social media to put a halt to every MMA fan’s excitement.

The champ O’Malley said, “Merab at the sphere is not targeted as far as I know. I’ve been pushing for that but UFC hasn’t said anything.”
We are unsure why there is confusion surrounding this fight, but there seems to be multiple fights lately that get announced as official before a contract is even in the mail.
It is hard to not salivate with a fight of this caliber potentially headlining a UFC card inside the Las Vegas Sphere. The hype around the UFC having an event there is high, and if they are thinking about adding Merab vs. O’Malley it shows they want that fight card to be special.
Merab Dvalishvili vs. Sean O’Malley is on a collision course sooner rather than later, and even if it was confirmed unofficially, we can watch all the social media accounts light up with pure excitement.
Social media might get even more wild with the content that these creative minds might come up with, to hype up an already dream fight.
