Zafar Mohsen who was able to clinch the victory in his PFL debut has had this victory overturned. This is following a positive drug test. It was confirmed on Monday by MMA Junkie that Mohsen’s fight night drug test for the PFL: Battle of the Giants event on October 19th 2023, was flagged for being positive. The event, which happened in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was regulated by the Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulations.
Zafar Mohsen was able to defeat Husein Kadimagomaev due to a unanimous decision. This was in in their highly anticipated matchup, however, it has since been changed to a no-contest. This will mark a significant setback for the fighter, whose professional record will no longer have this victory on the record. In addition to the overturned result, Mogsen has been handed a one-year suspension and fined an undisclosed amount.
